MoodleBox image version 4.9.0, released on March 23, 2025, is based on Moodle 4.5.3+. The next version of MoodleBox will be based on Moodle 5.

Here are the main new features of release MoodleBox 4.9.0:

• Moodle version 4.5.3+ (Long Term Support)
• Based on the latest version of Raspberry Pi OS Lite of November 19, 2024
• A new version of the MoodleBox plugin for Moodle
• AdminerEvo replaced by AdminerNeo.
• Lots of other improvements and fixes.

To install MoodleBox we recommend that you use the Raspberry Pi Imager utility, which will automatically download the MoodleBox disk image for you.
